Falling through air resourse

In this video the man jumps out of the plane. When he jumps from the plane he is accelerating with an increasing velocity. However the air resistance grows as his speed increases. And eventually the air resistance will be equal the the mans weight. And when that happens he will be in equilibrium meaning the net force is 0. Eventually the man is attached to a parachute. When the parachute opens the acceleration will be negative, but the speed will still be increasing. Air resistance is effected by surface area and if you increase the surface area the fair will increase causing f air to equal f weight
